Personality

Bugnose has fully dedicated his life to his Clan, prioritising it above everything else, including his own mental well-being. He is something of a perfectionist, at least with regards to his own behaviour, and often feels guilty when he makes mistakes of any kind, including unintentional ones caused by his own ignorance. He's got quite a lot bottled up, but he wouldn't dare to reveal it to anyone, as that would only prove (at least in his eyes) that he's incapable of being a real WindClan warrior and defending his livelihood, territory, leader... everything, really. Another reason why he won't divulge his secrets is because he puts the idea of his Clan thriving above his own personal relationships, whether that be family, friends, or anyone he knows, and can be quite neglectful of his few loved ones, so there's not many cats who he would confide in regardless. What also doesn't help is the fact he's naturally quite bad with names; tell him yours one minute, and it'll slip from his mind the next. He's a tom of few words because of his poor social life, but he does try to engage in some conversation on the odd occasion - partly so his Clan can remember he even exists outside of battle, and partly so he doesn't fully lose any potential friends he has. Despite not being one to voice his thoughts or feelings much, Bugnose typically wears his heart on his sleeves (with the exception of the repressed guilt of course), so it's generally quite easy to deduce what he's thinking or how he's feeling.

Because of his dedication to the growth of WindClan, he much prefers to avoid other Clans entirely, although he will engage if absolutely necessary. Generally speaking, his relationship with the other Clans is overall negative due to his skepticism, so he's most likely to be fighting them rather than helping, but if in dire need of help he will accept assistance from other Clans and thank them, even if only briefly, and he will try to at least be somewhat friendly at gatherings. This doesn't quite extend to StarClan, he considers himself to be an at least somewhat fervent follower. He wants to work on growing his belief, and he certainly is working on it, but at the same time he's afraid he may slip into superstitious territory, and might believe that anything and everything might be a bad omen from StarClan. His overt gullibility could definitely cause trouble for him and everyone else if that were to happen, so he tries to be careful.

Biography

Bugkit was the only kit in his litter, born to his mother and an unknown, absent father. No matter how much Bugkit asked her about him, she would never give away anything, so he concluded that his father was either a rogue or a cat from another Clan. She was never that consistent with discipline, nor did she pay much attention to him, so Bugkit would often be found attempting to escape from camp, flinging moss-balls at other cats, or otherwise causing trouble. It was only when he was deemed old enough to become an apprentice and was assigned a strict mentor that he learned the importance of considering the consequences of your actions before going forward with something. From then on, he gradually shifted his focus toward helping his Clan rather than inconveniencing them, which only amplified when his mother was killed in a scuffle with a badger. Initially he had been opted to train as a tunneller apprentice due to the love for digging and getting dirty that he discovered during his rebellious kit days (which he still has to this day), but after his mother's death and how heroically she had passed, he decided to drop tunnelling in favour of a warrior's path, as that seemed the more honourable route to take due to being up on the front lines against threats, in comparison to the relatively sheltered life of a tunneller (or so he thought). To this day, he is still a little behind on things he should have learned as a kit, but he continues to play catch-up and turn himself into one of the greatest cogs in the WindClan machine, despite the guilt that is racing not far behind him, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on him and make everything crumble on top of him.

Personal Blurb

Rahh, my first forum roleplay cat! I'll admit, when I made him I noticed just how many of my male OCs (or at least the ones that either get main roles or even survive their stories) tend to be on the quieter, more sensible side, and are more doers than speakers... guess I've found out my type, whoops. Still though, I do enjoy these kinds of characters a lot, and the same goes for this guy. I'm also treading a lot of new ground with him, what with this being my first foray into roleplay outside of Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition, but I'm quite comfortable writing Bugposts, so I'd say it's smooth sailing as of now!
